No one can see me Even though I am present No way to stand out

What's next in my life? My brain is lost in the fog No paths to be seen

No longer with me Yet I still sense her presence Always in my heart In loving memory of my grandmother, Chiyeko Naito. 1927-2020

No one can see me Even though I am present No way to stand out
A single glow of white light

May have little or no meaning

But with bright colors and unique shapes,

It is a neon painting full of feeling

As a woman with autism,

Verbalizing can be quite a struggle

But communicating through visual art and writing

Saves me from a lot of trouble

No fires, pyrotechnics, or sparklers

Not even one candle

Only used were toys, flashlights, and string lights

Safe and easy to handle

You will laugh, you will cry

Fear may even strike your heart

But whatever mood each image portrays

They are my works of art

Read through the haikus

And you will see

What each light painting

Represents to me

But go ahead and make your own interpretation

Be imaginative and free

That’s what art is all about

Creativity is the key

So, sit back and enjoy this journey

Stories to be told and a thrill ride of emotion

Both original and luminous

Strong feelings, both positive and negative, in every direction
